Dedicated to Education
At Royal Bridge High School, we hire the best and brightest teachers available. Our teachers are certified through the Province of British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch and are required to have an undergraduate degree and Bachelor of Education along with Professional Certification. Many of our teachers hold a Masters Degree in an educational field or discipline.
Our teachers review the BC curriculum and plan lessons, use a variety of assessment strategies to ensure student progress and learning, and set high standards and expectations for all our students. We use student self-assessment to understand how students are receiving our lessons and adjust based on their reflections of their learnings. Lessons include group work, project-based learning, reciprocal learning, and practical experience. Royal Bridge teachers utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to engage student interest and ensure academic success and our teachers are constantly undergoing professional development to stay on ‘the cutting edge’ of new teaching ideas while respecting the Core Competencies of the BC curriculum.
Teachers are also involved in activities outside of the classroom, thus creating further opportunities to connect with and support our students.
